Hi there,
All of the following has to do with the setup of email on
a RaQ 4, specifically to get rid of the Sendmail error
"Relaying denied".
When adding a virual domain, the Cobalt admin script adds an
automatic entry to the Host/Domain Alias field (with the
www. bit included, eg. www.somedomain.net). However,
nothing is added to the "Relay for following Hosts/domains".
I've copied all domains across to the latter field (with
the www bit removed) - and all appears to be working fine
now (the "relaying denied" problem has disappeared).
Question time:
[1] What is the purpose of the "Smart Relay Host Name" option?
Should the server host name be entered in that field?
[2] Should one specify a mail.virtualdomain.com for each and
every virtual domain (DNS MX record), or can one make use of
a single one (perhaps the server host name)?
Much appreciated,
Johan Pretorius
