I've recently moved a bunch of sites from one server to another using the cmuExport/cmuImport - and I've got problems with CGIs and permissions all over the place...
When the sites come back on the new server, the permissions are totally wrong, even the ownership is admin - so I've been using the following to fix:
cd /home/sites/siteNN/web/ ; chown -R siteowner . ../users/siteowner
This gets the permissions some-what fixed and I've been leaving it at that.
Well now we have sites with CGI scripts galore, and shopping carts on just about all of them...
One won't run any scripts as it says:
CGIWrap Error: Execution of this script not permitted
Execution of (fbadmin) is not permitted for the following reason:
User not Privlidged.
This is a real pain - REAL pain!!! How do I fix it?
On another note - FrontPage enabled sites don't appear to move over properly - does anyone know how to fix this?
Also - and I think this is the final one - I'm about to move over some high turnover e-commerce sites, which use Actinic catalog/Actinic business - so far - EVERY SINGLE site move has had problems (because of permissions etc) - if anyone has any way of preventing this - I'd love to know it!! (I have 10 sites to move tonight!!!).
thanks a lot!!
