Hi there,
You may prefere the possibility that your active monitor is wrong, it happen
often on my server that the active monitor is in alert mode, especially at
reboot time but shut up after 20 minute, the problem was related to the
raid, do you have a RAQ4r or 4I ?
Also configure you email to receive the warning by email too, sometime one
say something and the other say something else, so you may find out what
happen.
Also good idea to begin to take a look to your logs file, as said by an
other user, you may have been hack, but as soon something go wrong with
cobalt, hack is the solution !!! If that was true this mean that 100% of the
raq sold have been hack within 3 week after they get sold because after 3
week even on internal network (the only hacker there can be myself) problem
with the raq begun.
I saw a couple of email related to active monitor, i had a problem with a
raq3 looking for the mail server, after a patch i installed, active monitor
user wasn,t able to log and was giving me red flashing light, mail server
down, but i was still able to use the mail server ? Following the
instruction I modified the system to log using a valid user and it startted
to work great again. You may want to take a look to see where it take the
information saying a problem with your drive, and go step by step, if you
have raid enable and you are use to it, you may also try to remove a drive
and see if active monitor catch the problem (if raid configure off course).
