90% of time OK - 10% gives 404 page not found errors (irrespective of
Browser type)
Nearly always works OK second time round after browser refresh.
Sure I saw something about this being to do with a 'Keep Alive' setting
- but can`t remember where I saw it.

This info is for the Raq3 (and I resolved the issue you describe using it on
my Raq3). I don't know if the section of script is the same for the Raq4,
but if it is, this should do it. You have to edit httpd.conf - can you say
'voided warranty'? - no way around it though (the warranty, that is),
because Sun won't acknowledge this issue (they don't seem to be able to
duplicate it, to be fair).
