Hi!
Has anyone noticed Netscape v. 4.7 requiring POP before SMTP, then not accepting the username and password given? In Outlook Express, sending mail works OK either from a trusted IP or from a recognized POP account, but not in Netscape.
I made sure that the POP before SMTP relay box was unchecked (in fact, it never was checked), added the customer's DSL IP to the relay list, then restarted services, and still Netscape prompts them for authentication when sending, but does not accept it. They are able to retrieve POP mail, however, so we know they are entering password information correctly. Is there anything that can be done?
Thanks so much for your help and have a great day,
Laurel :)
