There are different types of SSL certs (single sites, groups of sites, etc).
Also, your ISP might be giving you the use of a page on their site --
something like http://secure.yourpovider.com/youdomain/
Check the details your provider has. Also check http://www.thawte.com /
http://www.equifaxsecure.com/digitalcertificates/index.html for examples of
different types of certs.
