What alot of them do is allow you to use thier cert with thier name, thus
you will get a folder on thier site (usually somevirtualhost.com/yourname)
that you get to place files in to be secure. This is a easy solution that
we provide as well, but if you are reselling space or something, it is hard
to hide who you are buying from because of the SSL name that the domain was
registered to. But to answer your question in a nutshell, no you do not get
your own cert, you are sharing thiers.
