Im running a cobalt raq4r. i dont know anything about mysql and php.
However, one of my cleints has informed me that they will require mysql. I
have read though many threads and it appears that many people have managed
to install it without problems and then there are those that have had
problems. I guess my main question is: Is it worth it for me to pay the
$200 for Cobalt Professional Services to install mySQL for me? Or am I
better off doing it myself or perhaps paying someone on the list to do it
for a smaller fee by using the packages at http://pkg.nl.cobalt.com/?
Once installed, being that I have never used it before, is it something
fairly simple to pick up on with the correct documentation. I have been
wanting to learn php along with mySQL for quite some time now.
Thanks all ... your input is well appreciated.
