Well what a thread.... IMHO....
I don't think anyone is going to have much luck in court saying "She
shutdown my account because I didn't pay her on time and I lost somehow" I
think the expression is something like "No Pay, No Play" after reading your
tos I can clearly see that you have outlined the time to deletion and it
would be best to stick to it and not raise your clients expectations...
which could be misleading and give him something to talk about in court. I
always recommend a courtesy call/ "I need a check number" (or cc) call
followed by a 7 day grace period and then further action on your part......
So Knowing a little about your setup.... i.e. 2 machines and dns
servers that won't play nice... here is my suggestion.... now depending on
the way you have your clients setup their "email server" you can simply make
changes to their dns and point them at the other machine or whatever for
that matter... (your hosting sales site or temp closed site) They may be
smart enough to still retrieve there mail if they use the right ip/ other
host.domain.tld on the box but you can catch that... and actually route
their isp away for a while...
The message here is pay your bill or you will be deleted next...
to sum it up dns off, dns on
Let the mail come in... when you hit the delete button it will all be
gone...
