I wouldn't let that impact a decision on using PostgreSQL. FYI, the RaQ3
and above (unless the XTR doesn't) use a PostgreSQL database to store site
and user records so you're using it whether you know it or not. PostgreSQL
is a quality RDBMS. I started using it last year after using MySQL
exclusively in web development since 1999 and I'm very impressed with
Postgre, though I only use it when MySQL isn't the right solution.
