IE6 is clearly labeled as beta and says not to use it in a production
environment. It's useless to try to troubleshoot problems with it relating
to the RaQ.

Dan,

First, I fully agree with your last statement above.

I have seen such actions lately in a number of canned scripts, none yet on
any Cobalt product.

I use as my default browser IE ver 5.5+ and also on a different machines am
testing a up-graded Betas of IE from MS.

Here are my observations and beliefs (though perhaps not fully correct):
I believe that 'some' of the canned JAVA scripts available for general use
have a bit of incorrect code here and there. I also believe that most of
the browsers in the past have been forgiving about incorrect calls and code
in some fashion, allowing such incorrect scripts to appear to function
correctly. The beta being tested you mentioned above, may itself be broken,
or it may now reject some of the previously accepted errors in some of the
JAVA scripts out there. I am sure that once the final browser code is
released as a current non-test version it will also include some additional
"if xxx > then xxx" to make some of the normal script errors transparent.
Again, as I mentioned above, it is entirely probable that the browser beta
code is also currently flawed, after all it IS a BETA. hehe!
