I see where you're coming from with that letter, but want to address
the above quote.
I get an alternate email address from each customer when they sign up.
One that's completely separate from their domain. That way I have a
way of contacting them should the site go down (without my
intervention).
I can't rely on someone's contact addy being their domain addy;
they've got to have an alternate email address. Everyone does - a home
ISP address, for example.
