Yes, you'll need to upgrqade glibc.  It's possible there's a Cobalt pkg file
that did so, but I don't recall one.  The RPMs for glibc are on the Cobalt
FTP site.

I recently compiled MySQL 3.23.37 from source on a RaQ2.  Have you attempted
to do so and had problems?

Someone posted instructions for installing PHP4 into Apache 1.3.x binary on
this list somewhere between April 22 and 26 if you want to search the
archives for it.  I'm pretty sure the words "Apache" and "RaQ2" were in the
subject.  There's a bug in PHP4.0.4pl1 and 4.0.5 that requires a manual
change to a C file in the PHP source so be sure you find the thread and read
it.
