AW: AW: [cobalt-users] Nameserver RaQ4

Sorry to come back again, think I am too stupid.

I have set up the first Nameserver on my first IP:
mydomain.com -> IP1 (A)
www.mydomain.com -> IP1 (A)
IP1 -> mydomain.com (PTR)
mail.mydomain.com -> IP1 (MX)
ns1.mydomain.com -> IP1 (A)
ns2.mydomain.com -> IP2 (A)

Additionally I registered ns1.mydomain.com with Directnic as Nameserver with
MY IP1,
ns2.mydomain.com with MY IP2.
This Nameserver 1 as described above works OK, even for AT-Domains.

But I do not know, how to set up the second nameserver, that it works right.
If I do the entries as this:
thisdomain.at -> IP1
www.thisdomain.at -> IP1
mail.thisdomain.at -> IP1
then the first nameserver works OK, but not the second.

Could you describe, what I did wrong?

Michael

Once you enter in your Primary Name server in your network control panel,
you don't ever have to enter in your name server anywhere again. If you're
hosting your own Primary DNS then enter in that address. You can leave the
secondary field blank - it's optional. Then when you add a vhost, add the A
records into you DNS parameters and the PTR records as you described and
associate the appropriate IP and your done. Repeat the A/PTR/MX record
routine in your DNS for every vsite there after.
