Or from your own account, anything even remotely, possibly "illegal".

Hmm. Not my experience with them on some very unique requests I've made.
When the tech didn't know he said so and got someone who did.

I have RaQs at more than one data center and I don't bother tech support
at a data center with anything that is not specific to their center,
such as questions better answered by this list, found in the archives,
in the FM, KB, or on a dozen discussion boards. In fact, the broad range
of places to find non-center tech support is Cobalt's best feature! If I
wanted to rely on the limited resources of any data center I'd be using
something different. (Been there - done that) If my dog breaks a leg do
I take him to the store where I bought him and all of his dog food, or
to a vet?

Here's a trick you might find useful. The first time I contact a data
center I start with someone in Sales who then connects me with Tech
Support. There's nothing a Tech hates more than to hear a customer say
"ahhh... excuse me, but could you please reconnect me with xxxx in
Sales...." If the company is a success, and EV1 is, Sales runs the
company. In most centers the contact with Sales gets logged. From then
on anyone in Tech knows that you know the gal who can get him reassigned
to garbage detail. Everybody has bad days, everybody has a blind spot or
two, but this trick can help to keep things on a professional level when
personalities conflict. Provided of course that you keep your end of it
professional.

Ah! But you did, and appearantly you've lost it. It's all in attitude,
Jerry....

I agree with CarrieB. This is a usefull place to discuss such things. In
fact her earlier headsup about her signup problems at rackshack was
helpful in diagnosing a different problem when I signed up there.
Sometimes the free flow of information has unexpected consequences,
making the whole greater than the sum of the parts. That is indeed the
essence of the internet. As Cobalt users many of us are experiencing
more than just a "new kind of box". If it's still just a box to you, you
need to pull your head out of the box occasionally and see what's
happening around you. Entire industries are springing up to offer and
support Cobalt specifically, with new opportunities, new hazards, and
new relationships abounding. Cobalt is not just a box, it's an
environment.
