I've been looking for info about RackShack because i was not sure if i wanted to invest with them for expanding my web hosting operations
I have a Raq4i with them now and it's been interested.
I have to say that i they have so far provided the service they advertised.
I also have some concerns after only dealing with them a short while, although i am not convinced from what i see here that anyone has done anything that is seriously illegal.
I would give rack shack very low grades for tech support and public relations. They have a lot to learn about those things, but then they are fairly new and can not be expected to start at the end.
The tech support so far has been awful. At one point they actually told me that a flashing red active warning light on the raq is normal. That is an insult to my intelligence as well as just plain silly.
I felt like i was lied to. I don't know if i was lied to, or just dealing with someone who could not tell a Raq from a Mac. :)_
I have to say that i think this list IS the place for this conversation, and i am glad to participate. If they dick me around i will report my findings. If they provide good service and get better at support and customer relations, i will report that as well.
I have no fear, nothing to loose. But i do understand that technology is a touch raq-it, for any honest company trying to break new ground
:)
PS: Since sun seems to want to but the Raq on a Solaris OS, we will be switching to the new gateway products, that oddly look a lot like raqs. :)
Wonder if EVI will have them available in future, or if they will go with the Sun?
