I am having a rather strange SSL problem. My Global Verisign Certificate
was working great on the main site for the raq a week ago. Since then, I
realized that I had my Ethernet interfaces reversed. Interface 1 is
connected to the Internet (global IP) and Interface 2 is connected to my LAN
(Local IP). In an effort to use AppleTalk, I attempted to switch the
Ethernet connection by flip-flopping the wires and flip-flopping the IP
addresses between the two Ethernet ports. Well I had problems with that. I
wasn't able to pull up any sites and my administration area would only work
under a local IP (192.168.150.2). So I switched everything back and
rebooted. Now my SSL Administration area at http://ns1.bluewaterg.com/admin
works fine but when I try to pull up https://ns1.bluewaterg.com It times
out. I had checked the httpd.conf file - vhosts section to see what the IP
address was. It was set to the local IP while all other vhosts were set to
global IPs (the way it should be). So I changed the IP back to the global
IP (63.107.172.130) and restarted httpd. Still nothing works. Can anyone
offer me any suggestions before I call Sun/Cobalt professional support?
Thank you
