RES: [cobalt-users] SYSTEM MESSAGE!!! EMERGENCY!!!

Tim,

Look what I got.

[root init.d]# ./postgresql
Usage: postgresql {start|stop|status|restart} [quiet]
[root init.d]# ./postgresql start
Setting up PostgreSQL: failed!
[root init.d]# ./postgresql restart
Shutting down PostgreSQL: not running!
Setting up PostgreSQL: failed!

What's wrong?

Thank you,

Rafael Azevedo

Try telnetting into the server, 'su' to root, and then type
'/etc/rc.d/init.d/postgresql restart', it should spit out some kind of
complaint. And that would be what you need to fix.
