Yes, this speaks directly to the problem, I think. I only got this after
hours, though, so I guess I can claim a little victory because I did what
comes naturally and went around and gave all the machines fixed IPs.

Now, nobody is more Mac friendly than I am (I go back to the 128K model of
1984), but the fact that this article was out there in November of 1999 and
I bought OS 9.0 and 9.1 since then but was never given any notice, stinks. I
am also ashamed to think that Macs have probably stunk up some networks
because of this problem.
