several ways to do this.
are you running virtual hosts or does each domain have a separate ip address?
for virtual hosting, create the virual site for domain.com via the gui.
telnet to your system, su root. edit the httpd.conf, look for
<virtual xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx>
ServerName www.domain.com
DocumentRoot /home/sites/sitex/web
change the DocumentRoot parameter to /home/sites/path.to.user
another way to do this is to create the virtual site, add a new user with
site admin. create an index file, index.html with the following lines:
<html>
<META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="0;
URL=http://www.domain.com/path.to.user/">
</html>
