In the /etc/aliases file (/etc/mail/aliases for recent versions of
Sendmail), one of the aliases is for root. If the line starts with a #,
then it's been commented out. But this is unlikely.
More likely is a line like:
root: admin
Note those are tabs not spaces. So admin will get all of root's mail.
You can change this alias, or better yet, go futz with admin's settings
via the GUI.
