Assuming you did everything right (there's no secret to typing in a
new IP address), the problem is that you now have to wait for the
name servers you (and your clients) are using to update to the new
information.

	Yes, changing the TTL to a minute or two a day or so before
changing the IPs would have resulted in pretty near instant swap
from the old IP to the new IP.
