Hi Dan, thanks for your help. Actually came to work today to find the
redirection working, I think the dns needed time to refresh or something.
What finally worked if any of you are having the same problem is this:
> 1) adding
> include /etc/httpd/conf/otherinfo.conf
> to the httpd.conf
> and adding the otherinfo.conf file with this in it
> <VirtualHost 196.40.46.91>
> ServerName ww1.seconddomain.com
> ServerAdmin admin
> DocumentRoot /home/sites/site2/web
> </VirtualHost>
> 2) Changing the CName to an A record and pointing it to the IP.
So basically we didn't use CNAME, it still kind of ticked off why it will
not work the easy way by adding a CNAME from the GUI, I am sure this will be
the cause of great frustration and hair loss for many cobalt users.
