I hunted around for a while and discovered the AllowOverride setting in
access.conf (on my RaQ4i) might be at fault. The line was commented out and
set to None, so I set it to AllowOverride All. However, that still didn't
fix it. Even though I'd set up a .htaccess file it wasn't being used by the
server, the global error pages were being used instead.
.htaccess was set up in 'web' with one line: 'ErrorDocument 404 /404.html'
and the corresponding 404.html file in the same dir. What other settings
should I check in access.conf to enable .htaccess?
