Hmm... As for the sysadmin, it's partly my fault too...
I didn't start cursing loudly as I watched (I believed
that he knew what he was doing...). And he has a lot of
seniority over me, so I'm not going to be too quick to
criticize. Or at least, I wasn't... can't speak for the
next time :).
Anyway, I backed up the server before beginning the
search engine install, so I don't care so much about the
data on the server, if I could get it back to a clean,
factory install. Anyone know how to do this? Can I use
the CD that came with the server off the network even
though the system is messed up almost beyond recognition?
