I highly recommend openBSD if you want to play, its the most secure of the
three main BSD distros, and like netBSD will run on everything from your 4
processor sparc to your coffee perculator.

the wheel group exists on cobalts AFAIK, and contains root and admin, if you
want other users to be able to su then add them to this list. I also
recommend chgrping 'gcc' to only be used by wheel too, unless you want your
users compling rootkits on your system, you should do the same with other
important system binaries too.
