Hello!
Thanks to everyone whose quick replies have really
helped me get my RaQ3 up and running - this user group
has been *GREAT*. I hope I have a bit of "grace" left
on newbie questions, still. I got excited earlier
thinking I'd be able to post a reply to someone's
question about RealMedia, but someone beat me to it!
REGARDING FP2000 EXTENSIONS:
I've setup a couple of virtual sites w/ FrontPage
extensions enabled in Site Admin.
I'm getting the following error when attemping to open
a web: "The Server Extensions do not support this
action on FTP servers"
I'm getting this error when I do this:
1) Open Web . . .
2) In the "Look In" box, I choose "FTP Locations"
3) Highlight the FTP location I've defined (which
includes the shared IP, userID and password - the
domain isn't active in DNS yet), and click "OPEN".
That's what brings up the error.
NOW - I can simply "double-click" on the FTP Location
in the window and it opens to my directory with:
certs, logs, users, web
I can highlight a directory, click on "OPEN", and I
get the same error message, but if I double-click on
the directory, it goes right on it, but you cannot see
any html files, just the _private and _images folders.
'
Lots of my clients will want to use FP extensions
(unfortunately!), so I need to know what I'm doing
wrong here!
Thanks,
Fred McKinnon - a newbie who hopes to be an asset to
the group once he gets going!
