With all due respect, things don't just self-correct.
To get rid of the zcat error, install the latest vixie cron patch available
at the cobalt website (
http://ftp.cobalt.com/pub/packages/raq3/eng/RaQ3-All-Security-4.0.2-9648.pkg
). The folowing text is taken from the packages description at
http://asiapac.cobalt.com/support/download/raq3.eng.html

Note: If you had installed version 4.0.1 of this patch please install this
new version. It was discovered that after rebooting the RaQ3 with version
4.0.1 some errors would occur. Update 4.0.2 corrects this. Sorry for any
unpleasantness this may have caused you.
