Very true and I'll do that of course.

But... it will leave my system in its original state, which I by definition
do not want. I'd hate to spend days in confusement and distress when it's
not really needed.

The official Sun statement would make my life easier, that's all. I banged
my head against the wall so many times in the past, I don't have a wall left
to bang it against. ;-)

Just my personal opinion, but I would be gladly giving up my warranty for
such a list. A full restore from the cd and we're up and running again with
warranty.

Again, just my two cents.
