Re: [cobalt-users] PortSentry works !

blah, blah, blah, port scan this, port scan that......Cobalt at fault,
Cobalt is great....etc........

I'm lost here. I see a GREAT thread like Craig Napier's IPChains FULL
example <BTW thanks Craig- as I had similar output and you helped answer a
few of the many questions I had> go NOWHERE, no help, no comments, nothing.
BUT I get to read a zillion threads regarding lawsuits, port scan legality
and others that seem to be someones 2cents or highly opinionated. I'm still
waiting to see my posts/questions from yesterday- I'm sure I won't see this
one til Saturday. Can we work on NOT wasting bandwidth or time with emails
that should be on cobalt-DEBATORS@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx not here?

I am trying NOT to sound 'pissy' but I've been folowwing this list since the
beginning of the year and it seems as though the more controversy = more
threads/activity while some of the really important threads, i.e. firewalls,
goes through quietly. All this garbage is going to show up in a search for
Portsentry and another newbie is going to have problems searching the
archives. I don't mind debates, I would just like them to be about a helpful
topic rather than a simple chat.
