Hi!
I had to restart my raq4i because of a sudden high memory usage.
Then Postgre is not working any more.
I get every 15 min the message
"The PostgreSQL server is down and cannot be restarted."
and the GUI is broken (sitelist.cgi).
I tried to restart postgre without success.
Some previous post in the list says that it is a problem of the update 8532
(that I installed).
But the only solutions I found was:
>I had the same message after installing the name patch (8532) on my RAQ4i
>- I finally got hold of Cobalt support and it seems that the protections
>on the /tmp/ directory had been changed. They changed them back for me
>and Postgresql came up like a dream.
What does this mean?
Is to contact Cobalt the only solution?
What are the protections of /tmp directory?
Can I change them by myself? How?
Thanks in advance,
Filiberto
