You can turn them off. That makes not worrying about them a
whole lot easier. Just fire up pine for the user account which
you're getting them from, go to setup and check the setting titled:
"quell-folder-internal message"
You could probably do this system wide in pine's main
configuration file but I haven't looked, and haven't got time to
look so you're on you own... but I suspect you can as the system
wide configuration is not much different than the user configuration
files.
