Hi, 

I found a useful book was "Linux Security Toolkit" published by M&T Books. 
(www.idgbooks.com).  It says that the reader level is Intermediate to 
Advanced - I'd not claim that I was even intermediate, just a Linux 
beginner really but it covered lots of things that I realised that I 
needed to know about.
