I just had a user set up a majordomo list and he was having some trouble
with it. Not to be daunted, I set one up as well so I could figure out how
to do it and therefore support him.
Easy as pie, as soon as majordomo and I started talking to each other in the
same language. ;)
I used two URLs to help me through this, and found both of them through the
cobalt-users list archives just doing a search on majordomo:
http://list.cobalt.com/pipermail/cobalt-users/1999-November/000082.html
This one has a sample config file. Note: In this file there are multiple
words on one line, like "biker list"... my majordomo didn't like more than
one word. So I had to change it to something like "biker_list". No biggee.

This has the typical majordomo instructions that you're supposed to get when
you set up a majordomo list. I'm planning on copying this onto a readable
background and offering it in my client's support area.
Also, like the quote above says, I found it easier to simply delete all of
the comments when tweaking the config file than to try to keep arguing with
majordomo about stuff being wrapped.
Had that list up and running all to my liking within ten minutes. It
certainly changed my overall view of majordomo.
Now if I could just get the annoying little "clone owner=admin" lines out of
my logchecker alerts, I'd be all set. ;)
