[cobalt-users] FYI-Sun/Cobalt support



I have a RaQ 4r that we purchased and powered up in August '00.

During a general physical inspection of my network, it was discovered that
one of the cooling fans on this particular RaQ had stopped working. I placed
a call to Sun and stated my problem.

Within a relatively short time, the support tech had taken my info and
issued me a case number. He asked the severity of the issue, including
asking me to physically touch the unit's case to see how warm it was. He
also asked me if the problem was casuing any malfunctions or downtime, at
which I answered no.

 He told me that a new fan would be at my location via UPS by Friday, and
not to bother returning the defective fan. He told me to call for assistance
if I had a problem chaging out the fan.

Overall, I was impressed. Courteous and professional.
