I think he may be able to specify http://www.site.com/../../web as the
publishing location using the Microsoft Web Publishing Wizard. The other
way, if his IE is enabled for it, is to do
ftp://username:password@xxxxxxxxxxxx/../../web and drag the files into IE
from Windows Explorer.
