Now I, for one, am baffled. I've seen no more traffic yesterday or today
("the weekend") than on any weekday or weeknight. The same applies to
any weekend in lets say the past month. (Just an anecdotal sampling
period, and not illustrative of any specific trend)

The last time list traffic was larger on the weekend was when a thread
developed on a Friday night and the list lit up. Not only did the traffic
increase over the weekend, but traffic was up for most of the week that
followed. Ergo list traffic was not bloated simply because it was a
weekend.

I don't have any stats on this, but I'd venture an opinion that list
traffic may possibly even be slightly *less* on weekends than in a normal
week since this is a "working" list, and not a list populated by
"hobbyists" (although there may well be many members for whom their work
is also their hobby!) Remember that these machines are typically purchased
by people who's *business* it is to do hosting, or else handle
mail/dns/www for a corporate entity.

If you're trying to make a point here, I certainly don't understand what
it is. I might if your post had exceeded 18 words, or *if* the 18 words
had contained something specific. Was there something about the traffic
content during this or previous weekends that in some way failed to meet
your expectations? Do you have a "weekend disk quota" that vanishes on
Monday morning? Sorry, I just can't corrrelate what you posted with
anything in the traffic flow during this or any previous weekend since I
joined this list about a year ago.

However, as Dennis Miller has remarked on more than one occasion, "That's
just my opinion, I could be wrong"

-Colin
