[cobalt-users] Strange SMTP Port 25 output

I have customer with a Qube2 that is experiencing some intermittent mail
problems, mostly with receiving.  I was checking things out and got the
following output when telnet to port 25:

220
************************************2*****2**************200******0*****0*00
 *****

The Qube is behind a Cisco PIX and is port mapped, don't think that would
make a difference.  Has anyone ever seen this before?  Could this have
something to do with their mail problems?
I can telnet to port 25 on any other machine I know and the output looks
fine so I know it's not just my terminal causing the ***'s.
