Good Morning!
I recently set up a Raq3i and the DNS seems to be working properly.
I had registered erikhoover.net using Sprint's primary and secondary DNS
with Network Solutions.
Once I thought I had the DNS on our Raq3 config'd properly, I switched it
over to my name server last week. I changed the whois at Net. Sol. and had
Sprint change their zone files to provide the sec. DNS for this domain.
While using Sprint as the pri. and sec. DNS, I was accessing pages and
sending and receiving mail just fine.
It seems now as the switch over to my nameserver has propogated, my mail has
quit. I can send mail through the server, but I'm not receiving incoming
mail.
I did some reading, and hope I can provide you guys with the information to
get this newbie up and running.
Here is a snip of the pri.erikhoover.net file from etc/named
erikhoover.net. IN NS ns1.hooverfence.com.
erikhoover.net. IN NS ns2-auth.sprintlink.net.
; End SOA Header
erikhoover.net. in mx 30 www.erikhoover.net.
erikhoover.net. in a 63.163.243.60
www.erikhoover.net. in a 63.163.243.60
Can anyone give me a clue? (hint: talk to me like I'm a 6 year old)
Please, just let me know what information you need. I'm trying to absorb
all this info like a sponge.
Thanks for your time.
