I don't personally use catch-alls, but many of our customers like this
feature for varied reasons.
Unfortunately, it seems that the catch-all feature on the RaQ4 product (and
previous RaQ products) has many bugs. We got so tired of answering support
calls about the catch-all email not working, that we quit offering this as
one of our features. When we would get the catch all feature working, the
aliases would stop and vice-versa. We looked into the cname problem (we
didn't use them) and other suggested corrective measures. The problem never
went away. However, when we quit offering the catch all email, our email
related support requests dropped drastically.
Hopefully Sun/Cobalt will correct this in upcoming versions of the RaQ
product line.
