Hopefully you didn't send an email back with your password, did you?
Oldest trick in the book.
Not saying the email is bogus, but it easily could be.
What's easier, hacking a lot of cobalt's like yours, or hacking one
email address and getting the passwords to lots of Cobalts?
Never send a password in email, anyway.
I'd have called them with the password.
