[cobalt-users] RAQ3 local users mail problem

How do I prevent my RAQ3 from delivering internal mail or mail sent by
sendmail to accounts locally?
Let me explain...
I have a virtual domain set up on my RAQ3, www.domain.com. I do not have the
email server enabled on my RAQ3, nor do I have the option selected for
'Accept email for this domain' for www.domain.com
I am running a mail server on a totally different NT box, mail.domain.com
On the RAQ3 (which is also my pri DNS) I have MX records for domain.com and
mail.domain.com, each pointing to mail.domain.com and of course, the correct
IP for mail.domain.com.
That being said, here's my problem:
If sendmail on the RAQ3 is told to send a message to user@xxxxxxxxxx, first
it checks to see if that user is created on the RAQ3. If it is, it keeps it
there on the RAQ3 even though I have disabled the mail server completely! If
the user is NOT on the RAQ3, it stores it in dead.letter.
Now, if sendmail sends a email to user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx everything works as
it should. ie. it does not check for the user on the RAQ3; it sends it to
the correct mail server for mail.domain.com
Is there any way to prevent this from happening? For example, maybe
something I could edit to include a host forward from domain.com to
mail.domain.com or can I truly disable the RAQ3 from trying to send mail to
users locally.
Thanks for helping me sort out this confusion!
