I know why people want it. Once you get a host that has unlimited aliases
and a catchall, you start putting all kinds of email addies for everything.
Submit@ for search engine submission spam. list@for all of the lists you're
on. You start signing up for stuff with a different addy, each one made for
easier organization. Then you can just delete the spam based on who it's
addressed to. You start telling your friends and relatives who can *never*
seem to get your address right that they can just send email to any address
@yourdomain and you'll get it - and boy, do they ever.

Over time you forget all of the addies that you've signed up for stuff with,
and then you change web hosts. You need that catchall now because of all the
different addresses. Yeah, you get spammed like crazy, but there's a chance
that your brother-in-law might send you an email and if you don't get it, it
will cause a major family havoc and he'll ignore you for the next three
family reunions because you didn't answer his email.

I know this because I did it years ago... *meek grin*. Now I can't get rid
of my catchall addy because of my in-laws. How hard is it to send email to
mike@?? Pretty hard obviously, cuz when they're trying to send email to my
hubby they'll send it to michael@, mikeb@, mbart@, mbartkowiak@,
mikebartkowiak@.... everything in the world BUT mike@.
And if we don't answer one of them when they email us, they start calling
out the dogs thinking we've been kidnapped or sumfin. :)

Thanks for the answer on that log line, I'll add the info to my spam-reject
immediately!
