I believe that in the past, the folks over at <http://qube.weblogs.com/>
have discussed installing PostgreSQL. So you might try asking there.
I can't give you much in the way of installation help, but I strongly
urge you to look for a more current version of Postgresql. I believe that
version 7.0.3 is the current stable release, and 7.1 should be stable in
the next couple of months.
For a variety of reasons, I am using 6.5.x on my systems. (Mostly because
of the time required to upgrade multiple servers and completely test
everything.) I sorely wish that I was running 7.x because many new
features where added and bugs killed.
