Hello List,
A few questions about email because I am getting confused...:-(
1/ I looked in the archives about creating a catchall for a Qube2
(69 answers). From what I understand, that feature was at some point
available but was suppressed after an OS update (because according
to Cobalt, the feature was not listed in the specs, answer received
by one of the members... removing an existing feature because it's
not in the specs is beyond me... unless it's interfering with
something else more important). Anyway, did somebody create a
catchall that works on a Qube2 and how ? (I tried adding @domain.com
for some user, GUI wouldn't take it).
2/ In the GUI, you can specify in the mailing system settings
something about accepting mail for such and such domains. Let's say
domain1.com and domain2.com. domain1.com is where the Qube belongs,
host name being qube.domain1.com. Getting mail for it is no problem
as long as you have a user or list with the proper name.
I don't understand how you get messages for domain2.com and where do
they go, especially if you cannot create a catchall for it ??
I am starting to feel like I am completely misunderstanding these
settings, if somebody could tell me a little bit more about it, I
would very much appreciate !
TIA.
