There's a MySql package on the Cobalt package page -- easiest way to 
install it.
The package page is

For PHP4, just go to the php web site, download the program and then 
look at the instructions for installation in the archives here:

Remember though, that you need to do the mysql installation BEFORE 
you install PHP. Anyway, if you're not familiar with MySql, you 
should probably look at the MySql tutorial (which is part of the 
documentation on the MySql site). The tutorial starts at #9 in the 
manual (if memory servers me) and it's a very good guide to starting 
up and using MySql, in case you need that kind of info.
