Hi, I had the same problem myself, and I'm betting the
answer is not what you expected to hear.

In my case, the trouble turned out to be related to
restrictions from the NTP servers themselves... you have to
be on the east coast... you have to have permission from the
sysop... you have to be a high level network... You'll have
to check the "Access Policy" for the server to find one that
will work for you, for instance, the USNO policy
specifically states:

"the following stratum 1 NTP servers are open to stratum 2
servers within the same time zone and to others by
arrangement. "

The problem stopped when I found a relatively unrestricted
NTP server. I'm in Arizona, US and now use the server at
204.123.2.72 and it works fine. As I recall the only
restriction on this server is that you must be in a
south-western United States geographical location.

You might try looking at the NIST servers
(http://www.bldrdoc.gov/timefreq/service/time-servers.html),
they MIGHT have an open access one in your area.

I know the "Internal Server Error" message makes this seem
like an unlikely answer, however, I think that finding an
open access server in your time zone and geographical
location will work for you, too.

Hey,
I've followed this with interest as it applies to both my Raq2s. Neither will allow me to set time or syncronize with a time server.
I checked the link above and then tried the one from cobalt support...
http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~mills/ntp/clock1.htm
There are many open servers on that list and though I tried many...and have the tick and tock navy.mil servers in the location box (one on each raq), I continue to get internal server errors from both machines. The production raq is running so close to ontime that I'm not concerned terribly, but it sure would be nice to have things work the way they should. The second raq is not in full service and runs about 2.5 minutes behind..so again not a terrible problem, but... This time setting thingy did work at one time so something has happened along the way.

Any other hints/helps would be very appreciated.
