Just want to hold my hand up here and say that my hosting site wasn't going
to be advertised on the site I was planning on building, except in the hosts
directory itself.
I just wanted to make a site where people could find info that is *often*
posted to the list. How many times have you seen the subject line 'Webmail'
come across your desktop? I've only been here about 6 months and I'd bet I
see it once every two weeks. :)
There are two sites that I know of that were going to do stuff like this
(umm... raqresources.net is one isn't it? can't think of them now) and I
even posted my '15 steps to mysql on a raq4' letter to both of 'em. One of
them posted it a couple months later, the other one still hasn't.
The thing that really got me wanting to do 'cobalt hosts' was how people
keep asking "what's a good dedicated server host?" (or colo host). Just saw
a need, you know?
Someone (not you, Zeffie) responded to my offer with an answer like "we're
all hosts with ample opportunity to domain names... blah blah blah"... well
no sh*t sherlock, like I don't know that? Anyone can buy a domain name.
Not everyone is offering up a name they've already gotten for everyone
else's free use - including you (again, not you Zeffie, the sherlock
person).
And I do admit, I have a pathetic operation. *grin* Completely word of
mouth, just me myself and I running it. But I don't lie on my pages and say
that it's anything more than what it is. ;)
Love it when ya go on a rant, Zeffie.

I do learn a TON from your posts. For all the help you've ever given me,
thanks so much.
For all the help everyone here has ever given me, thank you all so much.
*bows in thanks and tips her hat in respect*
