RE: [cobalt-users] META FAQ Suggestion

+I've noticed a lot of the questions on the list ask about things covered in
+detail that are covered in the archive.
+I suggest that anyone who has a link to a post in the archive that gives
+detailed instructions in response to a FAQ from the list, post a
+link to the
+article so they can be collected and listed in the META FAQ that's sent to
+each person when they subscribe.

+e.g., An item I came across: How do I make an auto-responder with Procmail?

Thanks for finding that Dan! <g> Actually I was looking for it myself
and couldn't find it. New bookmark folder now. I also posted a rather
detailed solution to how we got Equifax certs installed on the Raq3
and another long one on upgrading RPM on the Raq3 and lost those too.
The amount of 'asked-over-and-over-and-over' questions on the list this past
year
has made keeping up with the good stuff next to impossible.
Here's some more topics that need to be listed:
Webalizer ANYTHING (since the standard stats on ANY of the RAQs are
completely useless)
Cnames
E-mail/Aliases Issues for cnames.
Apache Rewrite Tweaking
MySql/PHP
SSH issues
Cobalt-flavored DNS Primer
Crontab Primer (amazing that Cobalt makes extensive use of Crontab yet
there's no
gui interface for it)
If the list traffic would slow down a bit the archives wouldn't be such a
bear
to search. And with the Cobalt KB being pretty much useless the list is all
we have.

PS: SUN/COBALT MANAGEMENT if by any chance you're actually reading/listening
to your customers...
the last two third-party surveys of yours that I responded to were a
complete waste of time.
Why don't you ask your customers...the ones that have to use your products
daily what they think
of the PRODUCTS and their features or lack of same.
I find it amazing that 4 generations of Raqs have come and gone and we STILL
have
to mess with a .procmailrc file to get a bloody real autoresponder to work
when any schmo with a $8.95
a month virtual webhosting account can make real autoresponders through
their web control panels.
