Thanks for the help everyone, I found the problem. It was a routing issue. I'm gonna go flog myself and repeat 100 times, "I shall double and triple check everything before I post help messages"

I don't think so but your a long way from it anyway....  if you can "telnet"
in and get a shell prompt do a "ps -aux" and post the results
